Beginning of the LIFE Programme ATIAS “Addressing the Threat of Invasive Alien Species (IAS) in North Greece, using Early Warning and Information systems for mammals”

LIFE programme is the main European Union funding programme for nature conservation, environmental protection and climate change confrontation. Its main objective is to contribute to sustainable development and to achieve the objectives of “Europe 2020” strategy by supporting the implementation of the 7th Environment Action Programme and other EU strategies and projects on the environment and climate. It funds measures and projects with European added value for Member States.

HOMEOTECH is a partner (associated beneficiary) in the implementation of the project LIFE ATIAS “Addressing the Threat of Invasive Alien Species (IAS) in North Greece, using Early Warning and Information systems for mammals”, from 02/09/2019 to 30/09/2022. The main objective of the project is the establishment of the necessary framework to address the threat of Invasive Alien Species. During the project implementation, tools, knowledge and infrastructure will be produced to organize the surveillance and monitoring process of IAS in Northern Greece.
